Savannah James Embraces New Podcast Series ‘Everybody’s Crazy’: A Journey of Personal Discovery
Savannah James, known not just as LeBron James’ wife, steps into a new spotlight with her debut podcast series “Everybody’s Crazy.” Launched on Tuesday, April 30, alongside her longtime friend April McDaniel, the podcast promises to peel back the layers of their typically private lives and showcase their authentic personalities.
The genesis of their friendship dates back 15 years to when Savannah, pregnant with her second son Bryce, first met McDaniel, who immediately became a source of support during a vulnerable time. Reflecting on their journey, Savannah recalled, “I was very pregnant and I remember she was like, ‘Girl, what are you doing? Come over here and sit down,’ so she was taking care of me.”
McDaniel added, “The funny part is we’ve never talked about doing a podcast together. Never. We are very private in our own respected natures. Savannah’s always been very private with her life, and so have I.”
Their bond deepened organically over the years, facilitated by McDaniel’s event planning company, Crown & Conquer, which introduced her to the James family during their moves from Cleveland to Miami and eventually Los Angeles. Now settled in Los Angeles, Savannah sees this podcast as a new chapter in her life, one where she steps forward from her role supporting her family and husband’s career to share her own voice and inspire her daughter Zhuri, who has expressed admiration for her mother’s journey.
“I started my family pretty young, and I was just in a space of trying to navigate who I was at the time or who I am,” Savannah shared. “And I feel like I’ve grown so much from playing the background, taking care of the kids, supporting my husband.”
The podcast promises to explore this “new phase” of Savannah’s life alongside McDaniel, inviting listeners to share their own stories and connect with the co-hosts. Despite her nerves about stepping out of her comfort zone, Savannah is excited about this new endeavor, embracing the opportunity to show more of her personality to the world.
“As nerve-racking and anxiety-ridden as it is to do something new, I’m really excited,” she affirmed.
Support for Savannah’s venture has already poured in, with LeBron James joining her on Instagram Live to help promote the podcast and show his unwavering support for her new journey.
